Meet Bethany
I’m a yoga teacher, fair-weather runner, and professional work-in-progress. stillmoving is where I practice showing up as I am, and invite you to do the same.
I’m really glad you’re here.
My Why
-
I teach yoga in a way that blends structure, creativity, and curiosity. My practice is rooted in Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Rocket, and shaped by years of exploring movement through burlesque, circus arts, and aerial yoga. I’m equally interested in the ancient roots of yoga and the modern science of anatomy and body mechanics, with an emphasis on moving well for the long run.
My classes balance effort and ease, challenge and play. The goal isn’t perfection, it’s presence. Showing up as you are and moving from there.
-
I believe movement should be inclusive, honest, and human. Any way you show up for yourself is a good way to show up. Stillmoving is all about finding what fits where you are, as you are. Consistency matters, but it doesn’t have to be harsh or punishing to be effective.
I value practices that support the nervous system, encourage self-trust, and make room for both hard work and rest. Movement isn’t something to conquer, it’s a relationship between you an your body that is built over time.
-
My relationship with movement has never been linear. I tried a little bit of everything and was never especially interested in traditional “working out.” It wasn’t until I found climbing, then burlesque, circus arts, aerial work, and eventually yoga, that movement started to feel expressive, curious, and alive.
After injury and burnout forced me to slow down, yoga became a way to reconnect rather than cope. Still Moving grew from that shift. It is a reminder that the work doesn’t end when things change, it simply evolves. Showing up, in whatever way you can, always counts.
